Taking inspiration from thousands of years of history in the city of York — which has at varying points been a Roman fort, an Anglo-Saxon City, the Viking's capital in Britain and the focal point of the Wars of the Roses — York Gin Jorvik Spring is a true celebration of a singular city.

This gin was designed and distilled exclusively for Craft Gin Club members, who were the first in the UK to try it. The botanical blend includes iconic Yorkshire flavours like heather, lavender and ginger (which is in Yorkshire's famous parkin cake) alongside classic gin botanicals and Szechuan peppercorns.

Distiller Harry Cooke says, "The Szechuan pepper is really special — it's quite citrussy, which is a key flavour in a lot of gins. Being able to get a good citrus flavour from something that isn't a fruit is really good fun."

'Jorvik' is the old Norse word for York, and was the name of the city when the Vikings ruled the city. This period of history is celebrated at the Jorvik Viking Centre, one of York's most famous tourist attractions.

It joins an amazing range of York Gins, all of which are inspired by the flavours, history and folklore of the place they call home. York Gin operates their shop out of a beautiful historic building in the city centre.
