We’re so proud to call the Califorina-based distillery’s signature expression our February Gin of the Month.
Distilled in Palm Springs, California – a mid-century modern paradise in the California desert, famous as an outpost for Hollywood stars like Bob Hope – Modern Love is made using botanicals that reflect both the local produce and the distillers’ background.
Modern Love is the brainchild of Tony and Milena Hazell, and includes lots of sunny California citrus – grapefruit, orange, lemon and lime – combined with lavender and dried currants.
Graham McAteer, Craft Gin Club’s Gin Expert, says: “This is Palm Springs in a bottle! It screams Californian sunshine, and the botanicals blend together to make a very easy-to-drink gin, perfect for dreaming about summers to come.
The gin is just one spirit in the Modern Love gin, which also includes a vodka and a tequila, along with a barrel aged reserve gin. But it’s the gin – which takes its name from a painting of the same name – that won Craft Gin Clubbers’ hearts this February.
Tony says, “It’s always been our ambition to create a world-class gin that would be enjoyed all over the world – and we’re so excited to have Craft Gin Club members across the UK try it.”
