This beautiful spirit from the Napier, New Zealand-based distillery is made using classic gin botanicals like juniper, coriander seed and liquorice root alongside the sweet spice of cardamom and liquorice root, and the bright citrus of hand-peeled lemon.

Graham McAteer, Craft Gin Club’s Gin Expert, says, “NDC is a distillery with one eye on tradition, and the other on the future – they’re not scared of pushing the boundaries of innovation. This gin is no exception. A classic blend of fragrant juniper and coriander seed combines with the brightness of lemon peel to create a spirit that is at once incredibly classic and refreshingly modern.”

NDC is the brainchild of Ricardo and Blair, who became fast friends over drinks in a New Zealand restaurant. Today they distill out of the beautiful National Tobacco Building, an art deco landmark in foodie Napier. They’re determined to make New Zealand a go-to destination for gin lovers.

Blair says, “20 years ago, the New Zealand wine industry was considered a bit of a joke on the international scene. BUt today we’re one of the biggest exporters to America. Who would have thought that? But it wasn’t just one winery that did that – it was a group of people working together. That’s what we want to do with spirits.”

Congratulations, NDC Distillery, and welcome to the Family of Distillers!
