Tarquin's and Burleighs expand ranges for summer 2022
Two new expressions hit the shelves just in time for summer.
Family of Distillers members Tarquin's Cornish Gin and Burleighs Gin have both added new expressions to their award-winning ranges for summer 2022.
Available for purchase from the 9th of June — just in time for World Gin Day — Tarquin's Pink Dry Gin is distilled with 14 botanicals, including freshly peeled pink lemons, pink grapefruit and pink peppercorns. According to the distillery, this new expression combines the sweetness of fruit gins with the botanical notes of a traditional London dry.
Tarquin Leadbetter, the founder of Tarquin's, says: "At Tarquin's we're always looking to try new things and test new products — and we're incredibly proud of our award-winning dry gins, but love to experiment and innovate on taste. The new pink gin is a carefully crafted balance between our traditional dry gins and more modern fruit-led gins."
Meanwhile, Leicester-based distillery Burleighs Gin has hit the market with its first-ever flavoured gin.
The Burleighs Raspberry Edition Gin is produced by steeping peaches and raspberries in the distillery's signature spirit. Blush-coloured and clocking in at 37.5% ABV, it follows a series of recent launches from Burleighs, including National Forest Gin, which delivers a donation to the National Forest for every bottle sold.
Speaking of the new flavoured expression, Commercial Director Sam Watson says: "We hope Burleighs loves will agree the new drink still has the classic and elevated taste we built our reputation on, but with added freshness and a subtle sweetness that's summer-friendly."
