Stillgarden Distillery Joins Family of Distillers
The Dublin distillery’s Social Gin was selected as September 2022’s Gin of the Month.
Featuring botanicals grown in a community garden, Dublin’s Social Gin formed the heart of a Gin of the Month box built around philanthropy and community spirit.
Stillgarden Distillery’s founders, Pat and Viki, found a disused wasteland at the side of their new distillery space in Dublin 8. Over the course of a year, they transformed it into a thriving hub for local residents. Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic – and the accompanying lockdowns – they invited their neighbours to join weekly gardening and foraging sessions.
Their Social Gin, which snagged the September 2022 Gin of the Month slot, is made using lavender and mint harvested from their community garden, by their amazing team of volunteers.
Mark Gander, Partnerships Manager at Craft Gin Club, says: “It has been an absolute pleasure working with Viki and the Stillgarden team. This is a unique distillery where they bring together the local community to help grow and pick the botanicals, and the end product is a truly wonderful gin. Social Gin is smooth, crisp, and all those garden botanicals just jump out at you!”
