Salcombe Distilling Co. reaches crowdfunding goal
It took less than 24 hours to raise the funds.
Salcombe Distillery Co. reached its crowdfunding goal in less than 24 hours, raising more than £1.2 million from almost 600 investors.
The investment, according to Salcombe's fundraising page, will be used to support the sales and marketing of New London Light, the distillery's zero-proof range, and the continued expansion of the flagship gin range into the US. The campaign has remained open, allowing for new investment past the initial goal.
Salcombe Distillery Co. was founded in 2014 by co-founders Angus and Howard, who met as teenagers teaching sailing in Devon. Their signature spirit, Salcombe Gin Start Point, was a Craft Gin Club Gin of the Month in February 2018.
