Content Campaign Drives Spike in York Gin Sales
A comprehensive content campaign kickstarted sales of the beautiful York Gin range on our online shop. But what went into this successful push?
Here at Craft Gin Club, we’re always looking to showcase amazing products from our Family of Distillers. When we welcomed York Gin into the fold this past March, we jumped at the chance to show off their range at our online shop. With award-winning products like York Gin & Chocolate Orange, York Gin Roman Fruit and York Gin Rhubarb, our experts predicted the range of spirits would resonate with our audience in a major way.
As well as selling the range at our shop, we created print and digital content to make sure our members knew precisely why each gin is worth purchasing. In print, this included extra coverage in GINNED! Magazine, where we featured an enticing Espresso Martini recipe made with York Gin Chocolate & Orange. We also featured a QR code linking to the online shop to make the customer journey as smooth as possible.
Meanwhile, we created a blog post for our digital audience, describing each product in the range. This was complemented by a 'Meet the Makers' video, which reached 15,800 people on Facebook alone.
Thanks to the coverage, and of course, the remarkable appeal of the range itself, the sales of York Gin spiked at Craft Gin Club's online shop. Harmeet Gabrie, Online Trading Manager at Craft Gin Club, says, “Our top seller was York Gin Jorvik Spring – customers particularly enjoyed it as part of our Cocktail of the Month bundle. They also loved the comeback of York Gin Chocolate & Orange, which had previously been featured as part of our Discovery series in October 2021.”
