Shivering Mountain Gin Early Harvest Edition Unveiled as March 2022 Gin of the Month
It features botanicals including bilberries, heather and gorse.
Shivering Mountain Gin Early Harvest Edition Gin, distilled at the foot of Mam Tor in the UK's stunning Peak District, has snagged the March 2022 Gin of the Month Slot.
Distilled by Nick Malaczynski and his team, this Craft Gin Club exclusive edition is handcrafted using botanicals inspired by the distillery's beautiful locale.
Nick, a Peak District local who grew up climbing Mam Tor, says: "I wanted a gin that was very traditional, but which also was authentic. Something that reflected the Peak District and my background in the valley – the days foraging with my dad when I was a kid, the garden full of sloes, hawthorns and elderflowers. Some of my favourite times were spent walking up in the hills, foraging for bilberries on the moors – so using bilberries as a botanical was non-negotiable."
A classic backbone of botanicals including juniper and cardamom combine with bilberries, gorse, heather and sloe in this elegant expression, which was designed to capture the first days of spring in the Hope Valley.
It joins a wider range which includes a classic London Dry and a pink gin.
