GWYR Mother's Day Gin Sells Out on Craft Gin Club Shop
The special edition GWYR Sunflower Gin, crafted exclusively for our Mother's Day 2023 shop campaign, was a huge hit with members.
It sold out on Craft Gin Club's online shop in a matter of days; the performance was another successful seasonal showing, leading to a repurchase and further sales.
GWYR Sunflower Gin was inspired by the landscape of the Gower Peninsula, where the gin is made by Andrew and Siân Brooks.
Siân explains: "Sunflowers have become a part of the Gower landscape over the last few years and thousands of visitors flock to see the sunflower fields in Rhossili. They really are stunning! So, we started wondering how sunflowers would work in a gin."
As Andrew and Siân run a nut-and-seed-free distillery, they utilised sunflower petals and sunflower honey to capture the essence of the flower — a challenge for GWYR Gin team members Laura and Arleen, who created the recipe and distilled the gin.
Siân continues: "Laura is a young mother, and we are deslighed that she has distilled this gin. We thought it was a great message that a mother distilled this gin for a mum or mum figure in your life. And it also tastes great!"
The gin was listed exclusively on the Craft Gin Club shop from the 21st of February at £33. The listing was supported by content including a magazine article with a QR code, allowing members to scan straight through from the print page to the gin's product listing. Craft Gin Club's amazing shop team also created a cocktail bundle and G&T bundle to allow our members to easily craft the recommended serves.
Harmeet Gabrie, Online Trading Manager at Craft Gin Club, says, "This gin was a success by any measure. Our members loved the lower price point and the bundles, and it's clear that they absolutely love gins with a clear theme."
