Astraea Spirits Meadow Gin Revealed as June Gin of the Month
The Seattle-made spirit is inspired by the meadows of the Pacific Northwest.
Seattle-based Astraea Spirits has landed the coveted June Craft Gin Club Gin of the Month slot.
Inspired by the verdant wildflower meadows of the USA's Pacific Northwest, Astraea Spirits Meadow Gin is a stunning summer expression with notes of honeysuckle. Its creator, Danielle Leavell, is one of the few female Master Distillers working in America, and holds a MSc in Brewing and Distilling from Scotland's Heriot-Watt.
She says, "When I was living in Scotland and distilling there, it was clear to me that the gins there are hyper-local — they're an interpretation and celebration of the flora and fauna. I was incredibly inspired by that sense of place."
